There are many features in AccountMate Inventory that make it the right choice if you need a more sophisticated system than what Quickbooks can provide:

Inventory Control (download PDF)

With AccountMate's Inventory Control you have the power of a complete inventory management system, including the ability to define each inventory item's cost method, unit-of-measurement, warehouse and bin location; assign serial numbers to inventory items; define multiple substitutes for an item; record transfers of units from one item to a similar item, or to the same item in a different warehouse; list all the vendors that supply a particular item, or all the items supplied by a particular vendor; copy inventory items to another company; and facilitate physical inventory counts.

In addition, Inventory Control integrates and increases the functionality of the Accounts Receivable, Sales Order, Purchase Order and Manufacturer's Inventory modules. Inventory Control can also be integrated with the Price Control, Inventory Specification, Kitting, Lot Control and Customer Inventory Manager modules, allowing you to enhance the flexibility of your inventory accounting system. But what happens when you need to manage the inventory that is being returned? Accountmate has some unique modules for managing Return Merchandise Authorization and Return to Vendor Authorization

If you need easy, quick and accurate management of your goods for sale, AccountMate's Inventory Specification module is an excellent tool to have on hand. This module allows you to create categories for inventory items, such as size, color, weight and texture, and then to track and price them by each category created. This provides you with the ability to quickly suggest a similar item when the desired specification is not available, thereby keeping sales strong. Standard item specifications can be applied to any inventory item. Inventory Specification is integrated with the Inventory Control, Sales Order, Accounts Receivable and Purchase Order modules.

With the AccountMate's Kitting module, you can add the power of kitting to your Inventory Control module, creating and managing groups of inventory items packaged together as kits (such as the components of a computer system) and sold to others for assembly. Kitting integrates with the AccountMate Accounts Receivable and Sales Order modules.

AccountMate's Kitting module is designed for use by manufacturers whose goods are often resold in many different configurations. This module enables you to track items as they are sold either individually or as components of a Kit, equipping you to make wise and up-to-the minute production decisions.

Lot Control (download PDF)

With AccountMate's Lot Control module, you can add the power of a complete lot control system to your Inventory Control. You now have the ability to track units of lot-controlled items from purchase or production through inventory and sale, as well as recording each lot-controlled unit's expiration date. Lot Control integrates with the AccountMate's Accounts Receivable, Sales Order and Purchase Order modules.

With AccountMate's Manufacturer's Inventory module, you can easily and efficiently create work orders and explode jobs into virtually unlimited levels of raw material, labor, machine and subassembly components.

With AccountMate's Manufacturer's Inventory, you can break down large jobs into multiple starting dates, post work-in-process status automatically or manually, print work orders, routing slips, production slips and a wide variety of reports, and track jobs, resource usage and backorders through to the posting of finished jobs and the cancellation of any unused allocated resources.

If you resell inventory and you need the ability to set up a complex pricing structure easily and quickly, the AccountMate's Pricing Control module is an excellent tool to have on hand. The module's features include price maintenance in one menu location, unlimited simultaneous pricing by quantity and price code, the ability to set up minimum prices for inventory items and a customer price paid default option. The module is also ideal for making quick and easy changes to inventory prices without spending hours on data entry. Pricing Control is integrated with Sales Order, Accounts Receivable and Inventory Control.

With the AccountMate's advanced Purchase Order module, you have better control over your full range of purchasing activities. For instance, you can password-protect purchase order functions. You can select the option to automatically accrue the liability for purchases at the time goods are received, instead of waiting to post the liability through Accounts Payable. You have complete flexibility and control. For each purchasing decision, you always have an abundance of information about each inventory item at your fingertips, enabling you to select the right item, every time. It also enables you to define which items are for resale and which items (such as office supplies) are solely for in-house use. And when your Purchase Order system is integrated with AccountMate Accounts Payable, you can require that accounts payable invoices be supported by purchase orders before being entered in the system. You can set up multiple vendors for the same product, and you can have the Distribution Requirements Planning (DRP) module calculate the exact inventory levels to reorder to minimize the cost of managing your inventory. This level of control is unsurpassed in the mid-market.

Return Merchandise Authorization (download PDF)

The AccountMate's Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) module provides you with the added convenience of facilitating the recording of transactions related to sales returns from customers. With the RMA module, you can create RMA Orders, as well as record important tasks such as receipts of sales returns and shipments of replacement or substitute items. While performing these functions, AccountMate automatically updates the inventory on-hand quantity, as well as customer balances. Likewise, it automatically calculates the resulting gain or loss from inventory replacements, or substitute items. It can generate Sales Returns Invoices. With unlimited Return Codes, you are given multiple Return Actions to choose from.

The Return Merchandise Authorization module system also enhances your ability to maintain a comprehensive file of customer and inventory records that is shared by the AccountMate's Sales Order, Accounts Receivable, and Inventory Control modules. In addition, AccountMate provides other specific functions such as the Claimperson, Inventory Warranty, and the Defective Inventory Adjustment Maintenance functions, making it easy for you to bring about a thorough and accurate management of RMA orders.

Return to Vendor Authorization (download PDF)

The AccountMate's Return To Vendor (RTV) module offers you an accurate and comprehensive system to manage purchase returns to vendors. With this system, you can create RTV Orders, as well as record important tasks such as shipments of purchase returns and the receipt of substitute or replacement items. While performing these functions the Accounts Payable balances updates, the on-hand inventory quantity automatically updates and a Serial # or Lot # is assigned to items received as substitute or replacement items. AccountMate also computes the gain or loss resulting from replacements or substitute items. With unlimited Return Codes, you are provided with multiple Return actions from which to choose.

Customer Inventory Manager (download PDF)

With AccountMate 6.5's Customer Inventory Manager you can integrate your business more closely with your customer`s business, resulting in higher customer satisfaction. Many customers want to use their own inventory item numbers, descriptions and units-of-measurement when placing orders and when receiving and being billed for products and services. With AccountMate`s Customer Inventory Manager, you can easily cross-reference inventory item numbers, descriptions and units-of-measurement with your customer`s, as well as automatically updating prices. The Customer Inventory Manager integrates seamlessly with the AccountMate`s 6.5 Accounts Receivable and Sales Order modules.
